It is about a girl named Ye Xian. Her nickname is Chinese Cinderella(CC)
Her mother died when she was small and her father remarried.
HEr new Niang(mother) is cruel, heartless, and evil.
She nearly choked CC to death.
After a skirmish with her Niang, her father actually THROWS her out of the house.
CC finds the street performers she saw before, they said to find them if she needed anything.
The story takes place in Shanghai, China during World War 2 and is at the time taken over by Japan.
